The way we make clothes has just as big of an impact on the planet as the fabrics.

Proud to be made in the UK

Manufacture

Close-up of a sewing machine stitching black fabric.

In the UK we have stricter minimum wage regulations, better health and safety and workers rights than many other far eastern countries.

Manufacturing in the UK has always been important to me and heres why…

A vintage sewing machine on a wooden table, with a person's hand holding a small precise tool nearby, and a red container with small parts or pins next to the sewing machine.

There are many small business making quality garments in the UK and this is talent we should nurture and invest in to grow our own economy.

By manufacturing in the UK we also reduce our carbon footprint by not shipping or airing product across the world.

I get to meet face to face and manage the production of my designs myself, meaning I have much more control and say in the way they are produced. less mistakes and better communication means less wastage.

I choose to produce in small batches which means I have limited stock of each line. Less product is left at the end of a season and less waste is produced. It makes each collection more exclusive while being better for the environment.

All patterns, designs and samples are made by me so you are buying direct from the designer. Everything is carefully considered including laying patterns to waste less fabric, producing less and sourcing better.
